The Glen Orchy tartan is the most historically accurate tartan for MacLaurins to wear. They lived just to the East of Glen Orchy, and were intermarried with many MacIntyres.

"The Glen Orchy tartan is probably the best-authenticated district tartan there is, since the MacIntyres of Glen Orchy were weavers who worked in the area from the 15th to 19th century, during which time they established a local tradition of weaving that could be clearly identified." TARTANS - Their art and history, Ann Sutton & Richard D. Carr, Arco Publishing, 1984.
